HOW DID THIS BEER COME TO BE?
We love a collaboration, but who’s had the cajones to collaborate with a bar in Mexico, and an Aussie owned tequila? No one. (Ok, maybe a few)
Over lockdown, we reached out to our good friends at Tromba Tequila, who also own the award-winning bar El Gallo Altanero in Guadalajara, and decided to make a cross-Pacific, cross-cultural beer bartender and Mexican brand ambassador for Tromba - Alejandra De Aguinaga.
Alejandra’s worked with us to create a Pink Guava Atole Sour. Atole is a blend of corn, cinnamon, and vanilla, traditionally drunk on the Day of the Dead in Jalisco.
Our brewing schedule coincided with the annual celebration of the dead, so it only seemed fitting to launch this beer on the same night at El Gallo Altanero’s Disco De Los Muertos party.
